Menopause Companion

Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Effective 13 August 2026 · Last updated 13 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Menopause Companion. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them.

Not medical care

Menopause Companion is a wellbeing and tracking tool. It is not a medical device, it does not provide diagnosis or treatment, and it must not be used to seek emergency medical assistance. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.

Privacy

Our collection, use and storage of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Acceptable use

Please do not misuse the service: no attempts to access other people's data, no probing or circumventing security or access controls, no automated scraping, no unlawful, abusive or infringing content, and no reselling or reverse engineering of the service.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you record. You grant us only the permission needed to store and process it so we can operate the features you use, such as showing your history, generating your insights and creating reports you request.

Sharing with a partner

Partner features are optional. You choose who is invited and exactly what they can see, and you can change or end that access at any time. You are responsible for who you invite.

Subscriptions, trials and billing

Some features require a Premium subscription. Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. Subscriptions renew automatically for the plan period until cancelled. Payments are handled by our payment processor, and prices are shown before you confirm.

You can cancel at any time from the app. Cancellation stops future charges and Premium access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are non-refundable.

Deleting your account

You can request deletion in the app. Any active subscription is cancelled and your account is scheduled for permanent deletion after 30 days, during which you can restore it.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, add or remove features, and we may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions about your health made in reliance on the app instead of professional medical advice. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited, including consumer guarantees that apply to you.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes we will update the version and effective date above and notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from the use of the service will be subject to the applicable courts and tribunals of Australia.
